These are some of the photos taken during our low tide summer walks down at the beach. This year (2002) has been quite exceptional with its variety of sea life, flounders, crabs, hermit crabs, starfish, seals, crayfish, jumping salmon, bullheads, smelt, jellyfish and even a long snout tube fish are just some to name a few. One cool experiance was the large flounder, often swimming so slow you could pick them up (check out the shots) we put everything back, and even saved a couple that were stranded by the receeding tide. The starfish were plentiful too with some of the more impressive ones appearing on this page. This was Rosies first summer at the low tides, she really enjoyed her self and swam for the first time! now she swims like a pro. All in all it was a fabulous summer with enough sunny memories to keep us warm throughout the coming winter months. Enjoy the photos.
